Adeline Stella Biskup, age 89 of Oshkosh, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at her home. Born May 15, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Stanley and Stella (Zawacki) Franckowiak, Adeline married Michael Biskup on November 23, 1940 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1999.
Adeline worked as a teacher's aide for over 20 years in the Elgin Illinois School District. She enjoyed line dancing and was a member of the Cheyenne Shuffle Dance Club. Cards, bingo, word search puzzles and camping were some of her favorite leisure activities.
Those who are left to love and remember Adeline are her daughter, Carole (Lynn) Hanson of Omro; sons, Robert (Rose) Biskup and Michael "Mickey" Biskup both of Texas; grandchildren, Larry (Debbie) Hanson, Sue (Paul) Seelow, Alan Biskup, Eric Biskup; great-grandchildren, Cody Hanson, Chase Hanson, Connor Hanson, Hunter Seelow, Daniel Biskup. She is further survived by her sister, Rita Young of Illinois; sister-in-law, Angie Biskup of Arizona; former daughters-in-law, Marie and Carol and their families as well as many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Ray, Chester and Edwin Franckowiak.
Funeral service for Adeline will take place at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. The family will greet friends on Thursday at the funeral chapel from 11:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
