Agnes E. Bloch, age 84, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, February 17, 2004, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born on the family farm near Borth on July 8, 1919, the youngest child of William and Ida (Weiss) Bloch.
Agnes was a member of Borth United Methodist Church. She worked for many years at Schultz Brothers in Berlin, Woolworth's of Milwaukee, and later at Williams Dry Cleaning, both in Berlin and Lakeland, Florida. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, loved to travel and was an avid Cubs fan. She will most be remembered for her strong and independent spirit.
Agnes is survived by two sisters: Adeline Williams, of Lakeland Florida, and Violet (Raymond) Bahr, of Oshkosh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, eight sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services for Agnes will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 20, 2004, at Borth United Methodist Church, W304 County Highway D. Reverend George Groves will lead the ceremonies. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Burial will follow in Borth Cemetery.
