Alberto "Al'" Cruz Rios entered into eternal peace, Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Froedtert Medical Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Al and family were comforted during his sudden illness by many friends, family, and co-workers. Al was born April 8, 1948, in Vaughn, New Mexico. He early enlisted into the United States Navy after high school in 1965. He served in two tours of duty in the Vietnam War on two different aircraft carries, the USS Hancock (CV-19) and USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31).
Al was employed by Alliance Laundry Systems for the last 29 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria de la Luz Rios.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; daughters Maria and Kim; son-in-law, John; son, Anthony; three grandchildren, Carmen, Marcus, and Emily Grace. Al will be remembered most by his love of family, his passion for golf, and his pursuit of his next good meal. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Father Carl Schmitt officiating. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
