Obituary

Alexa Rae Dullum, "Ali", age 17, of Oshkosh, died as a result of a traffic accident Saturday, September 19, 2009. Ali was born April 29, 1992 in Oshkosh to Jeffrey and Sandra (Morasch) Dullum. She was a student at Oshkosh West High School and was involved in the Yearbook and was a member of the Index staff. She worked at Jeff's on the Square in Berlin, and was hired to start work at Eastbay.

AliÂ's tender heart showed in the way she loved children and animals, except goats, and especially loved her cat, Mia. Ali was a joy to all who knew her; she could make you laugh til you cried. She enjoyed reading and writing, hiking and fishing up north, making lefsa and baking cookies, photography and watching movies. Ali was a non-conformist, she was a T-shirt queen and she enjoyed all kinds of music, from Sinatra to Silverstein. Ali had an independent spirit and planned to attend college, spend a summer in Russia or Romania to work in an orphanage, serve in the Peace Corps and then teach high school English.

Ali is loved and will be missed by her parents, Sandi and Jeff Dullum; her brother and friend, Jake Dullum; grandparents, Bette "Nana" Morasch, Helen & Donald Dullum; great grandmother, Helen Dullum; her aunts and uncles, Al & Peggy Morasch, Bob "Bubba" & Sue Morasch, Kathy & Pat Lorsung (aka The Fairies), Donald & Jayne Dullum; numerous cousins and many many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Al "Papa" Morasch who is now holding his schnookie-babe in his arms again, her friend Shylo, and her cats, Sam & Izzy. Many hearts were broken when Ali was taken.

In respect to AliÂ's memory there will be a visitation for family and friends on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Community Church, 2351 Ryf Rd., Oshkosh from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 6:00 p.m., with Rev. Wyatt Fisher officiating. Please feel free to wear T-shirts and jeans to honor Ali. In lieu of flowers a memorial in AliÂ's name is being established. The family would like to thank all those who helped at the scene of the accident and those who have been with them during this trying time; we appreciate your prayers and support.

Ali will be sadly & forever missed by her family & friends.

NatureÂ's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafÂ's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
so Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay.
