Alma A. Lechner, nee Wiedenhaupt, age 99, passed away at Valley V.N.A. in Neenah on Thursday, December 5, 2013. She was born on June 15, 1914 the daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Carnoth) Wiedenhaupt. On June 15, 1935 she married Joseph Lechner. He preceded her in death in 1990. Alma was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, including Grace Forever Young Group. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, with a fondness for cooking and her flower and vegetable gardens.
Alma is survived by her daughters: Betty (John) Joss of Neenah and Alice (Jerry) Meid of Westfield; sons: Joe (Karen) Lechner of Suring and Tom (Maureen) Lechner of Fremont; grandchildren: Tracy (Scott) Waterworth, Amy (Mike) Roberts, David Joss, Michael (Laura) Meid, Dan (Vicki) Meid, and Trisha (Brian) Doherty; and great-grandchildren: Andrew, Emily, Alex, Nick, Jared and Owen. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Roger Lechner; great-grandson; Cameron. Alma was the last of 10 brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Seefeld Funeral Home.
