Anna C. Manthey, age 89 of Oshkosh, died Friday evening, November 10, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born on February 7, 1917 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Frederick and Abigail (Jonas) Moss. Anna married Raymond Manthey on January 2, 1937 in Wyandotte, Michigan.

Anna was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ for over 50 years. She had memberships with Ridgeway Country Club of Neenah, Mascoutin Country Club of Berlin, Menasha Elks Dance Club, Mr. & Mrs. State Champions of Northeastern Wisconsin Golf Association (NEWGA) of 1978, and various other golf and bowling leagues. Family was a mainstay in Anna's life and she was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond, of Oshkosh; her children, Robert (Madeline Martin) Manthey of Chandler, Arizona, Jane (David Brammeier) Ihrke of Glen Carbon, Illinois, Howard Manthey of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Mark (Kim) Manthey, Kent (Denise) Manthey, Steven Ihrke, Sheri Ihrke, Meredith Lea Seader; great-grandchildren: Troy, Ella, Maddox, Kirstyn; and a brother, Jack Frank of Michigan. Preceding Anna in death is a son-in-law, Robert Ihrke, a grandson, Scott Ihrke, 6 sisters and 4 brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 12 Noon in Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 1306 Michigan Street, with Reverend R. David Gaskill officiating with entombment following at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and support will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, and on Thursday from 11:00 to 12 Noon at the church. Memorials are requested to Emmanuel United Church of Christ Building Fund in Anna's memory.
