Arlene Marie Larson, age 86, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday morning, May 16, 2007 at her residence. She was born in the Township of Forest in Fond du Lac County on May 12, 1921 to Harry and Marie (Krug) Petri. Arlene married Louis "Bob" Larson in Oshkosh on May 4, 1940 and he preceded her in death on January 7, 1997.

Arlene was a staunch supporter and participant in all of her husband's endeavors and hobbies, from farming to skiing. She enjoyed her many pets and crafts. Arlene was a member of First English Lutheran Church. She was employed by Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company as a switchboard operator for several years. Arlene lived in Oklahoma for 18 years where she was employed by Oklahoma State University in the Student Admissions Office.

Survivors include a sister, Lois (Patrick) Unmuth of Sauk City, Wisconsin; a brother, James (Anne) Petri of Oshkosh; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Preceding Arlene in death are her husband, Bob, a sister, Marge Jeske, and a brother, Harold Petri.

Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, where Arlene will be laid to rest next to her husband.
