Arloene M. Manke Pinnow-Runge, age 83, of Omro, died Thursday, January 21, 2010. She was born July 5, 1926, in the Town of Rushford, the daughter of Paul and Anna (Seidlitz) Manke. Arloene was educated in the Omro School System and was a graduate of Omro High School. She was employed in nursing care, worked in the electronics field, farmed in the Town of Rushford, owned and operated her own gravel pit for a number of years and served her country as a Corporal Tech in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. Arloene was a member of the Oshkosh Senior Citizens, enjoyed dancing and crafts and was a charter member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Arloene married Ivan Pinnow on July 5, 1947; he preceded her in death on May 16, 1988. She later married Bernie Runge on November 30, 1996; he preceded her in death on July 11, 2003. In addition to her spouses, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Armin and Elmer Manke; and sister, Helen Nowinski. Arloene is survived by nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Omro on Monday, January 25, 2010, from 4-7 P.M., and then again on Tuesday, January 26, 2009 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 1072 Honey Creek Rd., Oshkosh, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Darin Wiebe officiating. Arloene will be buried in Omro Cemetery next to her first husband, Ivan.
