Arlyne J. Emmerichs, age 81, of Oshkosh, died Thursday afternoon, December 8, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on January 8, 1924 in Waupaca, Wisconsin to Earl and Carrie (Holmes) Fabricius. Arlyne married Kenneth Emmerichs on May 29, 1943 in Sherman, Texas. They celebrated 62 years of marriage until Ken's death on August 3, 2005.
Arlyne was employed as a clerk in Race Office Products for 27 years until her retirement. She was a #1 Packer Fan who also enjoyed card playing, crossword puzzles, gardening, and time spent with neighbors and friends. Arlyne was a compassionate caregiver to her mother, mother-in-law, and husband. She was a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons: Robert (Laurie) Emmerichs of Herndon, Virginia; Jeffrey Emmerichs of Oshkosh; two daughters: Terri Bouchez of Aurora, Colorado; and Lori Albee of Loves Park, Illinois. Also surviving Arlyne are four grandchildren: Rob Albee, Rebecca (Andy) Suarez, Nathaniel (Amy) Smith, and Timothy Smith. Preceding Arlyne in death are her husband and parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Marvin Ahlborn officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held on Monday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel. The family is establishing a memorial in Arlyne's memory.
