Arthur "Art" Jarvenpaa, age 81, passed away on February 14, 2020. He was born to Gust and Maxine (Williams) Jarvenpaa on December 3, 1938.

Art loved fishing and hunting and could often be seen bowling which was a true passion of his. He also enjoyed camping and working on cars. On April 1, 1959 he married the love of his life, Hannelore Dumeier and together they had over 61 years of marriage. Art was a loving father and husband; he was always willing to help those in need. He had a good sense of humor and worked hard for everything he provided for his family; he especially loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Hannelore Jarvenpaa; children, Cindy (Kurt) Meier, and Alvin (Bobbie Jo) Jarvenpaa; grandchildren, Emily (Tom) Tetting, Alvin Jarvenpaa Jr., Krei Meier, Eric (Bree) Jarvenpaa, and Bret Meier; great-grandchildren, Tanner Tetting, Sawyer Tetting, and Olivia Jarvenpaa; and brothers, Frank (Lynn) Jarvenpaa, and Larry (Judy) Jarvenpaa.

Art is preceded in death by his parents, Gust and Maxine Jarvenpaa, and his brothers Daniel Jarvenpaa, and Donald Jarvenpaa.

Services for Art will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Omro, on Feb 29 9:30-11:00 am visitation with service following. Burial to take place in Omro Cemetery at a later date.
