Austin Tanner- Bosquez
Austin Bosquez, 29, of Omro ,WI fell asleep in death wrapped in his mother's loving arms on Wednesday, March 30,2022 at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness.
Austin was born May 28, 1992 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Virginia "Ginger" Bosquez. From the beginning of his life, Austin endured a genetic disorder that affected his ability to walk and talk. However, Austin and his family never considered him to be disabled. In 2010, Austin graduated from Winneconne High School.
Austin enjoyed serving as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and loved helping his congregation, volunteering in the community by preaching the "good news of something better". (Isaiah 52:7)
In addition, Austin loved family gatherings, fishing, reading, road trips to anywhere, watching sports of all kinds. He especially looked forward to "Sunday game day" with his Uncles Jesse & Manuel. Austin enjoyed museums and absorbed all manner of information and trivia. And those closest to him were convinced he held a wealth of knowledge that his body unfortunately would not let him express. However, his greatest love by far was music! Sometimes, he sang out boldly, listened reflectively and most certainly appreciated music. His favorite genres of music were vast and unlimited and he could have possibly been the most cultured member of his family. Everyone who had the privilege of meeting and getting to know him, loved his broad toothy grin and infectious laugh. In a physical way, Austin was very limited but it never affected his personality or his determination to enjoy his life with his friends and family.
Austin is survived by his mother; his faithful dog, Mila; grandmother, Virginia R Bosquez, Omro, WI; uncle, Manuel (Stephanie) Bosquez, Berlin, WI; cousins: Jesse (Elizabeth), Carley, Alyssa, Quinn, Kimber, Kloie and Cameron; and grandparents, Barbara and Charles Tanner, Eureka, WI.
Austin was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Ignacio Carrillo Bosquez; uncle, Jesse Andrews Bosquez Sr.; aunts, Ashley & Lindsey Tanner; uncle, Jason Tanner; two great-aunts who held a special place in his heart: MaryAnn Garcia(née Bosquez) and Anita Knight (née Nourse); and two special friends: Samuel Wayne and Ryan Prindle.
The family would very much like to thank his great-aunts Rosemary and Tina Bosquez as well as Dan and Dena Boyce and their children for their constant love and practical support throughout Austin's life. The family's hearts will also be forever grateful to Clifton and Ann Sleger along with Karen Fink who made a most difficult time easier to bear by their love and support.
A funeral service has been scheduled online via Zoom, Saturday, April 23, 2022, beginning at 1pm.
