Barbara Ann Gutsmeidl Binder Burgett, age 76, of Oshkosh passed away at her home on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Barbara was born on May 22, 1938 to Frank and Gertrude (Louiser) Gutsmeidl in Oshkosh. Her family, husband, kids and grandkids were very important to her. Barbara sold Watkins and Stanley Home products. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and card player. She enjoyed crocheting, travel, going to the cottage and going to rummage sales.
Barbara is loved and will be missed by her husband, Kenneth Burgett of Oshkosh; son, Robert (Cindy) Binder of Winneconne; daughters, Kathy Binder of Oshkosh and Tina (Joe) Huinker of Oshkosh; stepchildren, Keith (Angie) Burgett of Oshkosh, Diane Burgett of Little Chute; brother, Glen Gutsmeidl of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Chad (Jenn) Binder, Sarah (Chad) Unmuth, Zenus and Xerus Binder, Kcee (David) Ortega, Chris Huinker, Austin Huinker, Bibiana Huinker, Tom (Melody) DeRoo, Holly, James and Ashley DeRoo, and Travis Hoover; great grandchildren, Everett, Logan, Coleman, Brady, Emily, Jakob, Dakota and Evelyn; special friends, Julie and Helen. She was preceded in death by stepson, Brian Burgett, sister in law, Marilyn Gutsmeidl.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 16, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, October 17, 2014, at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, (St. Peter Site) 425 High Ave., at 9:00 a.m., with Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Barbara's family would to thank the Affinity Hospice for the care given to Barbara and her family, especially, Rachel, Ryan and Kelly, with special thanks to Laurie.
