Barbara A. Kametler, age 77, of Omro, died Sunday morning, October 22, 2017, at the Omro Care Center. Born on July 9, 1940, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Ervin and Nina (Rasmussen) Rupnow, Barbara married Ronald Kametler on November 1, 1958. Family was a very important part of Barbara's life, in raising her children, and later becoming a foster parent. She enjoyed craftwork and games, especially playing Bingo. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ronald Kametler of Omro; two sons, Ronald (Jadwiga) Kametler and William (Heather) Kametler both of Oshkosh; two daughters, Barbara (Stan) Case of Minnesota and Bonnie (Joel) Jagodzinski of Oshkosh; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, William (Mary) Rupnow of Oshkosh. Preceding Barbara in death are her parents and a daughter, Beverly Koepke, in June of 2012. Private family services will be held. Kwiatkowski Funeral Home is helping with arrangements. The Kametler family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Omro Care Center for the loving care given to Barbara during her stay there.
