Barbara E. Kempf, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. She was born in Oshkosh on August 2, 1943, the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Lonergan) Lemke. On June 27, 1964 she married James Kempf at Grace Lutheran Church, Omro. Barb was a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church, which included quilting with the church ladies and being a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed camping and playing cards with her family. Her family was very important to her. She will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. Barb will be dearly missed.

Barb is survived by her children: Charisse (fiancé, Tom Radke) Kempf and her son, Daniel Kempf and Linda (Gene) Rusch and their son, Tony Rusch; sisters: Catherine (Richard) Stark and Michell (Leo) Dorsch; nieces and nephews; Susan Stark, David (Chris) Stark, Stephanie (Tom) Kamrath-Wright, Misty (Nick) Stewart and their children, Brittany, Olivia and Kennedy, and Andrea (Tony) Schaefer; and many grand nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents; infant daughter, Sandra; father and mother-in-law, Mike and Vi Kempf; sister-in-law, Judy Kamrath; and brother-in-law, Wes Kamrath.

A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022 at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 720 Jackson Ave., Omro, with Rev. Mark Wenzel officiating. Burial will be in Omro Cemetery following the service.
