Barbara L. Kienast, age 58, of Oshkosh, died Thursday morning, January 12, 2012, at her home. Born on September 12, 1953, in Beaver Dam, to Robert and Laverne (Sharpf) Mortensen, Barbara married James B. Kienast on October 7, 1972. She loved her family, especially her three grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, James Kienast of Oshkosh; two daughters, Elizabeth Kienast of Oshkosh and Rachel L. (Anthony) Deich of Malone, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Kaylee, Kennedy, and Cameron; her mother, Laverne Mortensen of Oshkosh; a brother, Christopher Mortensen of Oshkosh; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Barbara in death is her father, Robert Mortensen.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
