Barbara A. Langkau, age 71, of Oshkosh, died Monday evening, March 24, 2008 after a short illness. She was born on March 20, 1937 in Packwaukee to William and Erma (Deutschbein) Daniels.

Barb was employed by Hoffmaster Company for 27 years, from 1974-2003, in various roles within the accounting department before her retirement. She was an active volunteer and finance committee member for United Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin since 1990. She has been on the Board of Directors since 1998 and was presently serving as Treasurer. Barb was a 23 year member of Altrusa Club of Oshkosh, where she served as Club President from 1992-1993 and District Governor from 2004-2006.

Barb was a source of inspiration to her family, friends, and associates. In the eyes of her family, her sometimes quiet and seemingly stoic manner, could easily betray her sense of calm and reassuring strength during difficult times, while building a sense of optimism in them.

Left to mourn her passing is her mother, Erma Daniels of Oshkosh; four children, Debbie Langkau of Chicago, Len (Michelle) Langkau of Minneapolis, Beth (Patrick) Amacher of West Bend, and Sarah (Kurt) Ebert of Black Creek; three grandchildren, Emily Neyhard, Aaron Ebert, and Hannah Ebert. Preceding Barb in death is her father, William Daniels, and infant brother, David Elton Daniels.

A memorial gathering remembering Barbara's life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street. Private family interment will take place in Underhill Cemetery in Packwaukee, Wisconsin. Memorial contributions are requested to Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin in Barb's name in lieu of floral tributes. Please visit www.seefeldfuneral.com to send online condolences to the family.
