Barbara A. Todd, age 75, of Oshkosh, died with dignity with her family at her side, Thursday afternoon, October 28, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center. Born on July 5, 1935, in Oshkosh to Cecil and Julia (Busha) Carpenter, Barb married Arden G. Todd on July 28, 1956. Arden preceded Barb in death on October 19, 2006.
A Catholic by faith, Barb believed in angels, being kind and giving, and love of animals (especially to her cats). She received much enjoyment from her children and grandchildren, reading, 5th wheel traveling to Yuma, Arizona, with her husband, and riding the family horses. Barb was an Administrative Assistant at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh from 1967 to 1998 .
Left to mourn her passing are three children, Toni Todd of Oshkosh, Victoria (Richard) Todd-Barth of Omro, and Arden James Todd of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Craig Juedes, Alex and Ashley Todd, and their mother, Paula Todd; four great-grandchildren, Cole, Ashton, Cooper, and Caleigh; grand-horses, Tripper and Misty; and nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Preceding Barb in death are her husband, parents, a brother, LeRoy Carpenter, and an infant sister, Marion Carpenter.
A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street.
