Beata A. Hirte, age 85, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Oshkosh on Sunday, June 20, 2004. She was born in West Bloomfield on December 14, 1918, a daughter of the late Herman and Elizabeth (nee Hannemann) Kage. Elizabeth passed away when Bea was six weeks old. Herman married Lydia Thews and together they raised their family. Bea married Alfred H. Hirte in West Bloomfield on June 29, 1940. They lived happily together until his passing on December 4, 1975.
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Bill) Page of Las Vegas, Nevada and Shirley (Steve) Brusius of Van Dyne; son, Eugene (Twan) Hirte of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Page of Las Vegas and Todd (Kellena )Page of Austin, Texas; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Mielke of Freemont and Elaine Retterstoff of Oshkosh along with nieces and nephews.
Bea was an active member of Martin Lutheran Ev. Lutheran Church. She had dedicated her life to raising her family and serving God and her church.
Services for Bea will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 25th, at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd., the Rev. Jeffrey Berg officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Friday beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at Concordia Cemetery in West Bloomfield. A memorial has been established for Martin Luther Church.
