Obituary

Beatrice Fern Swenson, age 80, of Allenville, WI died August 30, 2005 at Omro Care Center. She was born October 20, 1924, to the late Fernon and Naomi Grimm. She married Quinten J. Swenson on October 20, 1944.

She is survived by her children, Mary Alice (David) Klemp and Dale C. (Marlys) Swenson; her grandchildren, Craig Swenson, Jenette (Randy) Laabs, Aaron (Sherry) Klemp, and Andrew Klemp; her great-grandchildren Christopher, Rebekah, Dalton, Samantha, Jeffi and Autumn. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, Ruth Grimm, Iris Grimm and Verna Swenson; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Donald and Nelda Swenson, and Russell and Delores Swenson, and by nine nieces and nephews and their families.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Quinten, in July, 1995. She is also preceded by an infant sister and her two brothers, Roland Grimm and Myron Grimm, her sister-in-law Marjorie Grimm, her brother-in-law Lester Swenson, and by her nephew Rev. Edward Grimm.

In her early years she played in the Fox Valley Youth Symphony and was active in 4-H. She enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking and baking for "the hunters", sewing, quilting for missions, working with 4-H "kids", teaching Sunday School for many years at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester, writing articles for outdoor papers and magazines, and planting trees and shrubs for the birds she fed. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and later with her beloved special cousin Florence Bersch. She became a charter member of Lord of the Lakes Church at Winneconne and loved her church family there. Her families were her greatest treasure and caring for them was her greatest joy.

Visitation will be at Lord of the Lakes Church, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2005. The Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Gorden Estenson officiating. Lord of the Lakes is located at 6090 Harbour South, Winneconne, near the corner of Highway 116 and the new Highway 45.
