Bernice J. Amundson, age 82, of Omro, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. Born on June 17, 1933, the daughter of Roland and Vera (Loewen) Schmude, Bernice married Kenneth Amundson on August 6, 1950, in Winneconne. Employed at SNC Company in Oshkosh for 17 years in the product assembly line, Bernice served as the Union Steward. She was also a seasonal employee at Miles Kimball for several years. A member of Grace Lutheran Church, Bernice served as a Sunday School Superintendent. She also was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #1908, the Violet Club (African Violets) and the Weight Watchers at the Omro Library. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Kenneth Amundson; her children, Faith (Tom Wright) Miller, Diana (James) Ludwig, Jeff Amundson, Brian Amundson, Tim Amundson, and Lynn (Robert) Eckstein; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceding Bernice in death is a son, Michael, her parents, and a sister and brother. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. in Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave., Omro, with Pastor Richard Bartholomew officiating. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 12 Noon until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
