Bernice M. LeRoy-Kent, age 89, of Oshkosh, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Northpoint Medical & Rehab. Bernice was born on October 11, 1922, in Langlade County to James and Marion (Brockway) Tucker. She married George LeRoy on September 2, 1939, in Elcho, he preceded her in death on April 29, 1988; she married Paul Kent on December 16, 1994 in Oshkosh, he preceded her in death. She worked for many years as a housekeeper at Winnebago Mental Health. Bernice enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. She volunteered for many years at St. Vincent DePaul and EAA. She was a longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church. After retirement, she and her husband George, spent many hours fishing at Boom Bay.
Bernice is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Gilbert) Schell of Oshkosh and Diane (Herbert) Schultz of Oshkosh; 6 grandsons, Roger (Denise) Priebe of Ripon, Terry Priebe of Oshkosh, Steve (Val) Schultz of Oshkosh, Mark Schultz (partner Steve Woods) of Minneapolis, MN, Marty Priebe of Oshkosh, John (Karla) Priebe of Oshkosh; 2 granddaughters, Christine Schultz of Oshkosh and Kim Priebe of Oshkosh; 13 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Norval Gander of Oshkosh, Delores (Gaylord) Galligan of Racine; sisters in law, Lorraine Tucker of Antigo, Arlene Tucker of Kenosha. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers, Vern, Delbert and James Tucker; brother in law, Les Gander; and sister in law, Linda Tucker.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Bernice will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park.
