Elizabeth Jane (Moon) Wilson died at Alten Haus in Neenah on Friday, December 26, 2008. She was born in Oshkosh on May 7, 1923 to Marge Sequin and Frank Moon. She married Bud Wilson in 1964. He preceded her in death in 1969.
Bette worked hard and loved life and to her, family was most important. Throughout her life she was always taking care of people. She enjoyed traveling, and lived life one day at a time, "Take care of today, tomorrow will take care of it's self." Bette also enjoyed a good game of Polish Poker.
Surviving Bette are: her sons, Darryl (Loretta) Schmidt and Robert (Sue) Schmidt; nine grandchildren, including special granddaughter, Michelle (Diener) Westbury; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Moon; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Bette was preceded in death by: sister, Mae (Russ) Brickham; brother, Harland (Lillian) Moon; and sister-in-law, Joyce Moon.
A memorial service for Bette will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. A time for gathering and remembering will be held at the funeral chapel on Tuesday, from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A special thank you to Mr. Brian Nagler from Social Services; who was so beneficial to Bette's care. Also to Ann and Steve at Alten Haus and their wonderful staff who cared for Bette this last year. Finally to Heartland Hospice who gave additional care the last few days of Bette's life. We will always remember the kindness shown by all these people.
