Betty L. Culver, age 66 of Omro, died early Saturday morning March 19, 2005 at the Omro Care Center. She was born August 5, 1938 in Oshkosh, WI., the daughter of Henry and Luella (Pietz) Manthei. She was educated in the Oshkosh School System and was a High School graduate. Betty married Roger F. Culver at Grace Lutheran Church in Omro on April 10, 1959 and together they made their home in Omro. All who knew Betty will remember how important her church was to her. She served Grace Lutheran Church in various capacities and was also a very active member of the Ladies Guild. Throughout the years, Betty enjoyed flowers, cooking, acting as secretary for the Culver family reunions and often went fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding with her husband.

Betty will be fondly remembered and missed by her husband of 45 years, Roger; her sisters, Marion (Harley) Rasmussen of Montello, Lou Ann Polishinski of Oshkosh; brothers, Clarence (Marilyn) Manthei of Shawano, WI., Dr. Vern (Joyce) Manthei of Wisconsin Rapids, WI.; Sister in law, Jeannette Manthei of Minneapolis, MN., and Brother in law, Robert Tritt of Kenosha, WI. Betty is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Henry Manthei and sister, Julia Tritt.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2005 at the Omro Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and then again on Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave., Omro from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. John C. Brogaard officiating. A memorial has been established.
