Betty Jane Eckstein, age 91, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022. She was born on August 23, 1930 the daughter of the late William and Marie (Thiede) Haase. Betty was a proud homemaker raising her family, and known to enjoy fishing, animals, polka and country music, and especially word searches and jigsaw puzzles. She could also occasionally be seen at the casino. Betty will be best remembered for the love that she had for her family.

Betty is survived by her children: Larry (Therese) Cartwright, Kim (George) Hill, Michael Smith and Lee (Ann) Smith; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters: Ronald (Sally) Kautz and John (Dreana) Kautz; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Haase. Betty is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: William and Roger Haase; and former spouses: Eugene Cartwright, Richard Smith and Lawrence Eckstein.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Seefeld Funeral Home, Oshkosh. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
