Betty Jane Ives, age 89, of Oshkosh, died Saturday evening, June 13, 2015, at Bethel Home, in Oshkosh. Born on October 12, 1925, in Oshkosh, the daughter of William and Emma (Schumacher) Wojahn, Betty married Alfred C. Ives in Oshkosh on July 9, 1949, and he preceded Betty in death on January 7, 1989.
An employee of the City of Oshkosh for 23 years, Betty was a "meter maid" for 7 years and the final 16 years she in the meter department inside city hall. She retired in January of 1988.
Survivors include a son, John (Sandra) Ives of Westfield, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Sharaa (Vieng) Xiong, Clover Leonard, and Nathan Ives; and eight great-grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters, Dorothy Juedes Voss, Lorraine Sager, Mildred Smoody, and Violet Brusius, and two brothers, William and Earl Wojahn.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Timothy Greenwald officiating.
