Obituary

On January 23rd, 2012, our wonderful Lord Jesus welcomed our beloved mother into her heavenly home. Betty asked Jesus Christ to be her Lord and Savior as a teenage girl and entrusted her life into His care. She has long-awaited this blessed day with great anticipation, eager to see the God who loved her and died for her. She is also now present with the love of her life and husband Clifford who was taken from her almost ten years ago. As difficult as it is to say good-by, we rejoice with her that the Lord has fulfilled His promise to her of life with Him for all eternity.
Betty loved to study her Bible. When she could no longer see, she enjoyed having her Bible read to her. She was a woman of prayer and prayed daily for her family. She is lovingly remembered for her good cooking and fabulous family parties. No one could compete with her Christmas Eve dinners. Her Christmas Eve programs honored Jesus' birth and always included reading the Christmas Story from the Gospel of Luke.
Our family will greatly miss her loving attention and care for each one of us. She freely gave us her love and devotion, always being concerned about each of our lives.
Betty was born on September 27, 1926, in Shawano, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of George Multby and Viola (Bennett) Hesselman. She was raised by her loving grandparents, John and Lillian Bennett.
Betty married Clifford Stadler on February 8, 1946. They were married for fifty-six years, devoting every day to each other.
In addition to being a wife, mother and homemaker, Betty worked as a waitress and for two manufacturers, Hoffmasters and SNC Manufacturing in Oshkosh.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Clifford and brother Bob Bennett.
Members of her family who have loved her dearly are her children Dan (Dawn) Stadler, Jim (Corinne) Stadler and Chris (Andy) Anderson, all of Oshkosh. Also fondly remembering her with great love are her grandchildren: Shelley (Mike) Orseske of Oshkosh, Travis Stadler of Appleton, David (Candace) Stadler of Omro, Richard (Sue) Stadler of Berlin, Lindsey (Ben) Wissing of Ripon, Todd (Misty) Anderson of Oshkosh and Kirt (Heather) Anderson of Oshkosh. Betty is also survived by twenty precious great-grandchildren: Jesse, Jonah and Jakob Kintopf, Brody Orseske, Noah and Ethan Stadler, Jaelyn, Kira and Drew Stadler, Alec, Evyn and Ella Stadler, Lena Wissing, Kirstie, Logan, David and Landon Anderson, and Emily, Isaac and Lucas Anderson. Additionally, she is survived by two special sisters-in-law, "little sister" Lois Hyler and Shirley Jacques, plus brother-in-law, Roland (Joan) LeBeck of Sebring, Florida and sister-in-law Bev LeBeck of Sebring, Florida. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Betty will be held Friday, January 27th, at 6:00 p.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1325 Georgia Street, with Pastor Rick Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A lunch will be served following the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
