Reverend Robert W. "Bob" Olson, age 88, of Oshkosh, was joyously called to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 23, 2011. Born on August 13, 1923 in Larsen, Wisconsin, the son of Steven and Anna (Moen) Olson, Bob was united in marriage to Helen Lukowicz. Following Helen's death, Bob married Linda Sutter, who also precedes him in death.
An former employee of Badger Globe in Neenah, Bob was a general contractor, sub-divider, and real estate broker. He was the happiest when in 1968, at the age of 44, a call to minister to others with compassion and giving that continued up to the age of 84.
Bob leaves behind five beloved children, Larry (Anna Mae) Olson of Oshkosh, Lorena Thomas of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Cindy (Edward) Bradley of Whitelaw, Wisconsin, Steven (Linda) of Van Dyne, and Amy Olson-Eggers of Kaukauna; 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Olson of Neenah; and very good friends, Wayne and Elaine Larson. Preceding Bob in death is a daughter, Ginger Sue Olson-Heinz, and two brothers, David and William Olson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Sunnyview Christian Church, 175 East County Road Y, with Reverend Marvin Kindle officiating. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, and at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
