Obituary

Buck – William Brian Bladorn, age 66, passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on April 22, 2024. He was born on October 15, 1957, to parents, William C. and Marcella (Costello) Bladorn, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

He attended high school at Lourds Academy in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. After high school, he attended Fox Valley Technical College and obtained an associate degree in both Accounting and Food Marketing, along with many food service certifications. He went to work with family at Christman Amusements in food service management, tickets and operating rides. He purchased a traveling food stand and went into a joint venture at Marcy's Food Service. Later, he worked in food service at the Wisconsin Resource Center until his retirement.

Buck lived the simple life and enjoyed the company of many. He was always inviting everyone to share a "fast one". Living life down by the river fishing, deer hunting, duck hunting, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling and partying at camp were some of his favorite things to do. He also loved to watch the hummingbirds, feed wild birds, read and mow the grass.

He will be remembered for being selfless, independent, strong, generous, loving and was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, uncle and best friend.

He is survived by his daughter, Erin (Chad) Schoonover; grandchildren, Liam and Veda; brother, Doug Bladorn Sr.; sisters, Tess (bonus brother, Jim) Christman and Colleen (Randy) Collier; nieces, Jenny (Dave) Bernarde, Jamie (Eugene) Christman, Bailey (Significant other, Jordan Beyer) Christman, Wendy Lau and Danielle Barger; nephews, Dougie (Liz) Bladorn Jr., Ryan (Mary) Collier and Mike (Brandy) Bladorn; many great-nieces; great-nephews. He is further survived by many friends in the Round Table Crew; River Rats; Carnies; special friends, Howie, Wayne, Kat, Kathy, Don R., Don W., Wags, Doug P. and all his beautiful gal pals.

Preceding him in death was his parents, William C. and Marcella (Costello) Bladorn; and his brother, Mike Bladorn; and his beloved black Lab, "Elle".

No service will be held at this time. A celebration of Life will be held in the Fall of 2024.

Buck's final resting place will be next to his parents and brother at Omro Cemetery. However, think of him when you are on the river, as a part of his spirit will always be there.

Don't think of him as gone away

His journey's just begun

Life holds so many facets

The earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting

From the sorrows and the tears

In place of warmth and comfort

Where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing

That we could know today

How nothing but our sadness

Can really pass away.

And think of him as living

In the hearts of those he touched

For nothing loved is ever lost

And he was loved so much.
