Calvin A. "Mr. Cal" Erspamer: Pop, Daddy, and Pappy, age 79, of Oshkosh, died at his home on Sunday, March 6, 2005. He was born March 30, 1925, to Andrew and Sylvia (Riefer) Erspamer.
Calvin was lovingly rough, gruff, and tough. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He loved Eagles, The Green Bay Packers, and Old John Wayne Westerns. He collected coins and jewelry. Calvin was always able to put a smile on your face.
Calvin is survived by his children: Gail F. Anderson of Oshkosh; Dawn M. Erspamer of Wausau; Butron Erspamer of Green Bay; Becky Erspamer of Oshkosh; Dean (special friend Mandy) Erspamer of Oshkosh; and Jedediah Butzin of Berlin. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Audrey Spanbauer; Terra Kreuger; Sunshine Thomas; Tommy Erspamer; Chrystal Erspamer; Kyle Kieck; and Amber Kieck; 7 Great Grandchildren; and his brother, Florian (Toni) Erspamer. Preceding Calvin in death are his wife, Audrey (Anderson) Erspamer; brothers, Jim Erspamer and Cy Kentop; and sister, Marian R. Phillips.
A Memorial service will be held for Calvin at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Lord's Highland Church, 4017 Leonard Pointe Road, Pastor Kathryn Kershaw officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at Lord's Highland Church on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the tike of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
