Carlene Ann Resop, age 66, of Eureka, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, December 26, 2013. She was born in Oshkosh, on July 9, 1947, to Kenneth and Delores (Lux) Helmuth. On October 15, 1966, she married Wayne Resop at St. Mary Catholic Church in Omro. She was employed by Kolpin Power Sports of Fox Lake for over 20 years. In her spare time, she loved to bake, especially at Christmas. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, sitting by the pool, traveling, going on trips and shopping; going every Saturday with her daughter, Jodi. She especially loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. She was the family rock.
Carlene is loved and will be missed by her husband, Wayne; children, Rhonda (Rick) Johannes, Jodi (Randy) Bohn, and Robert (Heather) Resop; grandchildren, Kristian, Bethany, Katelyn and Ryleigh; brother, Steven (Janet) Helmuth; sisters, Carolyn (Richard) Domke and Cheryl (Thomas) Vienola; brother in law, Anthony (Barbara) Resop; sister in law,Betty (Dave) Grenfell and special friend, Pauline Yonke. She is further survived by eight nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Jeffrey.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave., Omro on Monday, December 30. 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 7:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at the Eureka Cemetery on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. A memorial is being established.
