Carol Ann Hutter Johnson, age 67, of Oshkosh, was called home to heaven this Wednesday, May 24, 2006, with her loving family surrounding her. Carol was born in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin on October 8, 1938, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elaine (Liegel) Hutter. On November 10, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, Duane A. Johnson, at St. Aloysius Church in Sauk City, Wisconsin. They resided there until August of 1969 when Duane's job transferred him and his family to the Green Bay area.
Carol attended NWTC, where she earned a degree as a Medical Assistant; she worked for many doctors both in Green Bay and Oshkosh. Her love and caring for people has brought her much happiness over the years. Carol enjoyed life, her family, friends, reading, boating, her flower gardens, and her cottage in Townsend, Wisconsin and most recently the motorcycle rides she and Duane went on.
Survivors include her husband, Duane Johnson of Oshkosh; three daughters, Debbie (Gary) Wishart of Green Bay, Terri (Marty) Witczak of Oshkosh, Linda (Kevin) Herman of Omro; five grandchildren, Kristen (Mike) Klunk of Oconto, Joey Wishart (fiancee Natasha Thayse) of Green Bay, David and Christopher Witczak both of Oshkosh, and Heather Herman of Omro; two sisters, Diane (Larry) Zins and Virginia (Ed) Krumenauer; three brothers, Jim (Susie) Hutter, John (Diana) Hutter, Greg (Alice) Hutter; her father-in-law, Roy E. Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Hutter and Karen (Roman) Pagel, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Carol in death are her parents; one brother, Don Hutter; mother-in-law, Carolyn Johnson; and a grandson, Jay Wishart.
Mom will be greatly missed by all, her loving smile, her caring heart, and the wonderful wisdom she has passed onto all of us over her lifetime. Rest in peace Mom, we love you and know you will be with us always.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 South Westhaven Drive, with Reverend Douglas LeCaptain officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Mercy Medical Center for their wonderful care of Carol.
