Carol Faye Marie Meyer, age 87, of Omro, passed away at Bethel Home on Saturday, July 1, 2017. She was born on January 1, 1930 the daughter of the late Edward and Goldie (Schrieber) Weber. On May 29, 1948 she married Bernard Meyer in Shawano. In retirement, Carol loved to volunteer at the Omro Thrift Store and Second Harvest Food Bank. She was an avid quilter, gardener, and was a prolific reader. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and being a generous person. Carol is survived by her children: Marsha (Jim) Qualley, Patrick (Susan) Meyer, and Teresa (Richard) Wachtveitl; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Virgil (Nancy) Weber; sisters-in-law: Carol Weber and Margie Graff; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; her parents; four brothers and three sisters. A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Omro Cemetery. The family extends a special thank you to everyone who gave wonderful care to Carol.
