Carol J. Upham, age 73, of Oshkosh, entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2005, having endured a long illness. She was born in Oshkosh on June 12, 1931, to the late Carlton and Tillie (Griedel) Thiel. On June 17, 1951 she married Robert S. Upham. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1985.
Carol was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She worked at Oshkosh West High School, and was a member of T.O.P.S.
Surviving Carol are her children: Charles Upham of Maryville, Tennessee, Kay (Dale) Bille of Cross Plains, Wisconsin, Sarah (Jeffrey) Clark of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Michael (Radha) Upham of Keaau, Hawaii, James (Michelle) Upham of Oshkosh, Thomas Upham of Oshkosh, and Ellen (Lee) Yoder of Oshkosh; eight grandchildren; Brothers: Kurt (Charolette) Thiel and Norman (Kay) Thiel; and many good friends.
Funeral Services for Carol will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon St., Reverend Mark Klaisner officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation and support at the funeral chapel on Tuesday, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial in Carol's memory is being established.
