Carol D. Young, age 89, of Omro, died peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday evening, January 16, 2010. Carol was born March 15, 1920, in the Town of Oasis, Almond, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Norma (Prochnow) Cizinsky. She married Cleve J. Young on January 15, 1938 in Winneconne. He preceded her in death September 22, 1979. Family was very important to Carol and she thoroughly enjoyed spending time visiting with them. She was a fun person to be around and family and friends will remember and cherish her great sense of humor and her ability to interact with people. She had a file of jokes she enjoyed sharing and later started collecting them on her computer via email. Carol traveled extensively in her lifetime and also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, crocheting, dancing and gardening.

Carol is survived, loved and will be missed by her children, Yvonne Tanner of Omro, Joe (Connie) Young of Marine City, MI, Carolyn (Oscar) Heubel of Mayville, WI, Jean Fuchs of Vernon, AL and Tom Young of Pickett, WI; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ina (Joe) LeRoy, Ruth Mae (David) Bartelt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleve; daughter, Suzanne M. Fink; granddaughter, Dawn Tanner; grandson, Mark Fink; son in law, Chuck Fuchs; and brothers, Clarence and Carl Cizinsky.

In respect to Carol's memory, the family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, January 21, 2010, at the funeral home in Omro, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and then again on Friday, January 22, 2010, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Omro, from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Carol will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Omro Cemetery.
