Obituary

Carroll L. Gay, died at Bethel Home on Monday, January 11, 2010, four days shy of his 80th birthday. He was born in the town of Utica to Maurice E. and Wilda (Moore) Gay on January 15, 1930.

Carroll attended the Outlet School in Waukau and then Omro High School, graduating in 1947. He worked for Morgan Door Company and then was drafted into the Korean War. After serving his country he returned home and married Jeanne E. Davis, July 3, 1954. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last July.

Because of Carroll's love of the outdoors, he chose a career as an Oshkosh Postal Carrier, which he did proudly for 32 years. After retirement, he delivered auto parts for Automotive Supply.

A quiet man, Carroll loved to hunt and fish on the family land in Waukau marsh. He loved to work in the garden, and took great pride in his lawn. Carroll had an active interest in the Audubon Society and the Winnebago County Conservation Club. The passions in his life were his family, his four grandchildren, and M&M's
