Cecilia M. "Ceil" Rushesky, age 94 of Oshkosh died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Parkview Health Center. She was born January 27, 1915 to Charles and Mathilda (Hackel) Strelke. Cecilia married Ralph Rushesky on November 28, 1935 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Oshkosh and celebrated 73 years of marriage together.
Cecilia loved to sew, especially Barbie doll clothes, and she made clothes for her family well into her 80's. She worked for Neuberger's for a number of years. Cecilia also loved to play cards with her family and her grandchildren loved going to "Abbey Cafe". She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Cecilia was blessed to see her family grow to five generations.
Cecilia is survived by her loving husband, Ralph; her cherished daughter, Rose M. Angle of Oshkosh; grandchildren: James (Diane) Angle III of Oshkosh, Rita (Darrel) Voight of Ripon, Gina (John) Eiden of Oshkosh, Lana Angle of Alamogordo, New Mexico, and Shawn (Becky) Angle of Oshkosh; great-grandchildren: James Angle IV, Theresa Angle, Jonathan and Maria Eiden, Alex and Olivia Angle; and great-great-grandson James Angle V. She is also survived by her sister, Marion Grill of Sparta. Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Agnes Sitzberger; and brother, Joseph Strelke.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Cecilia will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 24, 2009 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Drive, with Father Douglas LeCaptain officiating. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery. A time of sharing memories and support will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of service.
