Charles A. "Charlie" Christenson, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2025, in Missouri. He was born on March 1, 1979, to parents, Edwin and LeeAnn (Leinweber) Christenson in Oshkosh, WI, the youngest of 7 children.
After high school at Oshkosh West, he worked various jobs, including in the restaurant industry and started a family. He was very proud of his boys, Miles and Marley.
Charlie enjoyed traveling across the states and spend a few years in Texas and the mid-west and could be described as somewhat of a "free spirit"- and not everyone appreciated his blunt honesty- except those closest to him.
He was a huge Jam Band follower, he particularly loved to see the Grateful Dead Company and Phish. Charlie could always be seen sporting his usual tie-dye shirts and occasionally had dreadlocks.
While Charlie spent most of his adult life struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, he would always try to reconnect with his roots. In his later years, he took on painting and various art projects.
He is survived by his children, Miles and Marley Christenson; father, Edwin Christenson; siblings, Kim (Bill Harron) Kramer, Andrew (Carrie Luedtke) Jones, Kelly (Jay) Kargus; brother-in-law, John Hoeft; many nieces and nephews; and mother of his children, Tina Christenson. He is further survived by many interesting friends he met on his travels.
Preceding him in death was his mother, LeeAnn (Leinweber) Belock; siblings, Tracy Jones, Kevin Christenson, and Melanie Hoeft.
Per his wishes, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, a tree memorial will be established in his honor.
We know he is now with his best friend and sister, Melanie- where they are jamming together at the "Big Show."
