Charles "Charlie" Paul Klabunde, age 54 of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday, November 9, 2008. Charlie was born in Oshkosh on August 23, 1954 to Lester and Violet (Pofahl) Klabunde.
Charlie worked for C&M Manufacturing and Oshkosh Corporation as a machinist for many years. Charlie loved all things outdoors, especially deer hunting at his land in Shawano County with: his best friend, Rusty Bartow, his brother, Tom, and many other friends. Charlie was also an avid NASCAR fan.
Charlie is survived by his mother, Violet; his siblings: Judy (Ron) Nelson of Oshkosh, Karen Thompson of Milwaukee, Rev. Richard (Sharon) Klabunde of Wheeler, Steven (Donna) Klabunde of Fond du Lac, and Thomas (Carol) Klabunde of Oshkosh; brother-in-law, Robert Shellnutt, and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester, and his sister, Linda Shellnutt.
A memorial service will be held for Charlie at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street.
A gathering for friends and family will be held at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Condolences may be given online at www.seefeldfuneral.com.
