Charles Nathan Sheets, of Winneconne, formerly of Omro, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. Charles was born May 27, 1940, in Cleves, Ohio to Clarence (Bass) Sheets and Agnes Louise Vinson Sheets Smith who preceded him in death, along with his brother Daniel William Sellers who was killed in Korea on October 24, 1951.

Charles graduated from Taylor High School in North Bend, Ohio. Following high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1957 to 1967. He was a proud member of the Omro Volunteer Fire Department while living in Omro and continued to support it until his death. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and being on the water.

Survivors include his daughters, Karen (Bobby) Thomas of Jessieville, AR and Randee Lesnick of Stockbridge, WI; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 15, 2013, at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and then again on Saturday, February 16, 2013,at Waukau United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kristen Lowe officiating. Charles will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cleves, Ohio, between his father and brother at a later date. A memorial in Charles' name has been established for the Omro Volunteer Fire Dept.
