Charles Joseph Wheaton, age 65, of Omro, died peacefully at home on Wednesday morning, October 19, 2005. He was born March 7, 1940 in Neenah, WI the son of Herman and Edith (Graham) Wheaton. He married Diane J. Wobschall on September 16, 1972. Charlie served in the U.S. Military; was a welder and member of U.A.W. 1108; and retired from The Leach Co. Family and friends will recall him as a Tatter and a loyal Packer fan.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; mother, Edith (Norman) Lindekugel; father, Herman Wheaton; children, Sabra Wheaton (Jerrod), Ruth (Tom) Taylor and Jodi (Ron) Loyas; grandchildren, Courtney, Dallas, Kristen, Michael, Joey, Dezaray, Heather, Samantha, Nicholas, step grandchildren, Alyssa and Jacob; great grandson, Austin; brother, Joseph (Karen) Wheaton; and sister, Sally Flenz. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his K-9 friend, Toby. Preceded in death by his grandparents; sister, Sabra Wheaton and nephew, Chad Wheaton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Omro on Saturday, October 22, 2005, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Paul Mundinger officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
