Charlotte R. Salzieder Grundy, age 81, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, April 2, 2011. She was born in Oshkosh on March 13, 1930 the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Dittmer) Mueller. She married James L. Salzieder on June 21, 1951 who preceded her in death on April 4, 1994, and later married G. Philip Grundy on July 25, 2004.
Charlotte was a member of the Fox Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church. She worked many years as a professional seamstress for King Industries. Besides sewing, Char loved to cook for family gatherings and had just become a faithful Green Bay Packer fan and was looking forward to the next season!
Survivors include her husband Phil, of Oshkosh; children, Gary (Lois) Salzieder of Oshkosh and Vicki (Dave) Foster of Neenah; step-children, Mary (Jack LaFontaine) Grundy and Philip (Tuesday) Grundy, both of Oshkosh and Joan Tyson of Clintonville; grandchildren, Jayme and Kevin Luedke, Jason (Lydia) Salzieder and Jodi Salzieder; step-grandchildren, Marissa Schultz, Brandyn and Jamisen Grundy and Collin Tyson; sister, Gertrude (Stanley) Waters; sisters-in law, Dawn Bekas, Donna Pipkorn, Marge and Dorothy Grundy. She was preceded in death by sister, Irene Olson and brother, Charles Mueller; brothers-in-law, Floyd and Mark Grundy and Homer Pipkorn.
A memorial service for Charlotte will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street.
