Charlotte Jean (Knight) Schackow, age 61, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Omro, WI. She was born on June 23, 1964, in WI, to parents, Edwin and Anita (Nourse) Knight. Charlotte graduated from Omro High School and went on to obtain her CNA certification, working in healthcare from the age of 18 until her retirement in 2018.

In September of 1986, she married Gary Schackow and together, they raised two children. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, going on vacations- especially to South Dakota, riding on a motorcycle and checking out classic cars. She liked animals and had several dogs, cats and cows over the years. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for being kind, having the ability to adapt and go with the flow and being selfless.

She is survived by her children, Allan Schackow and Cody Schackow; father-of-children, Gary Schackow; brother, Allen (Molly) Knight and his son, Travis; brother, Wayne (Cassandra) Knight and children, Wyatt, Maggie and Emma; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; and good friend, Sandy Raddatz.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Edwin and Anita (Nourse) Knight; infant brother, Ricky; and several other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, 425 Jefferson Ave, Omro, WI, on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her honor.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, as well as the staff at Edenbrook of Omro/ Omro Care Center – especially Brenda “BJ,” for all of the care given to Charlotte during the years.
