Obituary

Charlotte H. Yaeger, age 72 of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Sunday, August 2, 2009. She was born on March 7, 1937 to Elmer and Ethel (Tullberg) Johnson. On June 8, 1963 she married James Yaeger. She and James made their home in Wittenberg, Wisconsin until they moved to Oshkosh in 2000.

Lovingly termed the "Best Cook in the World," Charlotte was the food service director of the Wittenberg School District from 1985 until 1998. Prior to that she and her husband, James, owned and operated the Wittenberg Ambulance Service from 1970 until 1985. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for Post 8068 Elderon. After moving to Oshkosh she became a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She loved to bake, cook, and crochet. Charlotte was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Surviving Charlotte is: her husband, James Yaeger Sr.; children: Larry (Bonnie) Furtick of North Carolina, Gary (Lindsay) Furtick of Oshkosh, Lisa (Gordon) Baken of Appleton, Kristi (Jon) Sickler of Darboy, James (Lynn) Yaeger Jr. of Rosholt, David (Heather) Yaeger of Wittenberg, and Greg (Dena) Yaeger of Oshkosh; 14 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, Shirley Hartleben of Wittenberg and Eileen Schmidt of Neenah. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Bette Trickel and Mildred Johnson.

A memorial service will be held for Charlotte at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Oshkosh, 2450 West 9th Avenue, Pastor Roger A. Erdman officiating. A time for sharing memories and support will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Wittenberg at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday. Please visit www.seefeldfuneral.com to send online condolences to the family.
