Obituary
Charmaine Pofahl Monroe, 94, passed away on June 26, 2023. She was born on Easter Sunday, March 31, 1929, during a snowstorm to Bernice and George Ratchman, Charmaine lived a full life and passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side.
She is survived by her children, Gloria (Eric) Pofahl-Pangman, Sally Pofahl, Pat (Jeff) Issac, and James (Sue) Monroe; grandchildren, Haley, Maggie, Mitch, Hannah, Jamie, and Jeffrey; sister, Carol Nikolaus; and sister-in-law, Shirley Ratchman.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; Bernhard Pofahl and Wallace Monroe; son, Terry Pofahl; brother, Donal Ratchman; her parents, Bernice and George.
She will be remembered for her love of gardens and the love many people had for her.
Per her wishes, Charmaine did not wish to have a formal funeral service and instead asked that flowers be planted in her memory. Rest in peace "Charmazing."
