Cheryl Ann Reierson, age 48, passed away in Oshkosh on Thursday, September 12, 2013. She was born in Milwaukee on November 20, 1964, the daughter of the late Duane and LaVonne (Nelson) McKay. Cheryl was a R.C.T. at Winnebago Mental Health Institute since 2006. She enjoyed being in the sunny outdoors, cooking out, camping, and vacationing from Texas to Florida. Cheryl was known for being a fabulous cook and host, especially famous for her spinach dip and taco pizza; crafts, singing and dancing, reading romance and mystery novels, and being an avid Packer fan. She will be remembered for the love she had for her children, grandchildren, and her puppy, Jade, of whom she took very good care.
Cheryl is survived by her children: Jacob (Tyna) Cumber, Heidi (Roy) Tlatelpa, Shannon (Joshua) Tankersley, Jessica McKay, Charlene Reierson, Kyle Reierson, Kyra (fiance, Richard Maki) Rost, and Conner Rost, all of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Cameron and Payton Cumber; Cullen Bettin, Allycia and Manuel Tlatelpa; Montana, Isaiah and Summer Tankersley; and Kyanna McKay; sisters: Cindy Mills-Berens, Carrie Gillet, Julie Kennedy and Tammy McKay; brother, Todd McKay; and former husband, Ricky Reierson. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Athena Cumber; sister, Cathy Barnes; and brother, Scott McKay.
The funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Seefeld Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
