Christine B. (Belfeuil) Lewis, age 80, passed away on February 3, 2024, while surrounded by her family, in Ripon, Wisconsin. She was born on May 9, 1943, in Berlin, Wisconsin.
A few years after graduation, she reconnected with her high school classmate, Armand Lewis, Sr. They were married on March 9, 1968, in Eureka, Wisconsin and were soulmates living in wedded bliss. Together, they raised three wonderful sons.
Christine worked as a seamstress at Sand Knit (Ripon Athletics) for many years where she made baseball jerseys and athletic gear for professional sports teams. She also went on to be a beautician until her retirement.
She was a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church, leading the Bell Choir, teaching Catechism, and working in leadership positions with the Sunday School. Christine also enjoyed canning, gardening, playing cards, and camping. She loved watching the Brewers play and cooking Sunday meals for her family. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Christine is survived by her children, Jerry (Kate) Lewis, Anthony "Tony" (Lori) Lewis, and Armand (Angela) Lewis, Jr.; grandchildren, Jamie Lewis, Jerry Lewis, Michael Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Taylor Lewis, Talia Lewis, Armand "Willie" Lewis, III, and Paige Lewis; great-grandchildren, Braylin and Daisy; brothers, Eddie (Denise) Belfeuil, and Walter (Mary) Belfeuil; sister, Linda Hertzberg-Belfeuil; and many other family and friends.
Preceding her in death, her husband, Armand Lewis, Sr.; parents, Walter and Ethel (Buhrow) Belfeuil; and brother-in-law, Donald Hertzberg.
Visitation will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave., Omro, WI, 54963, starting on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, resuming on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, service at 11:00am, with burial to follow at Eureka Cemetery at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a memorial in her honor for the Grace Lutheran Music Ministry.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Whispering Pines in Ripon, and Generations Hospice, for their care, comfort, and love they shared for their Mother.
