Claudette M. Fay, age 62, of Berlin, died early Sunday morning, May 29, 2016, at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Appleton. She was born December 6, 1953, in Koeur-la-Petite, France, the daughter of Marlyn and Paulette (Baudot) Fahrenkampf. She graduated in 1972, from Hermantown High School in Minnesota. She married Gary Fay on April 7, 1973, at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin. She received an Associate's Degree from Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac. Claudette loved kids and enjoyed her job as an instructor at Berlin Community Daycare Center, focusing on Early Childhood Development. Education was always important to her, and she took a keen interest in all of Chantal's courses in school. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, traveling, flower gardening, and visiting with family and friends. Claudette was a faithful and longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin.Claudette is loved and will be missed by her husband, Gary; daughter, Chantal, a student at West Virginia University; her father, Marlyn (Edy) Fahrenkampf of Oshkosh; brother, Shawn (Crystal) Fahrenkampf of North Freedom, WI; sister, Marlin Reinert of Berlin; father-in-law, Ray Fay of Green Lake; sister-in-law, Sally Brann of Brooksville, FL, and sister-in-law, Yvonne (Fay) VanOrnum of Ripon. She is further survived by special friend, Mary Athanasiou; four nephews, one niece, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paulette; brother, Donnie and mother-in-law, Jerry Fay.The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 6, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church, 168 Mound St., (corner of Mound and S.W. Ceresco St.) Berlin, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Bryan Lundquist officiating. A memorial in her name is being established.The family would like to thank St. John Lutheran Church, for all the support and prayers in the past years, Dr.'s Guenther and Marotz, the staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, and Theda Care Regional Medical Center for all their support, love, and concern shown Claudette and the rest of her family.
