Dr. Clayton L. Weston, age 86, of Oshkosh, passed away on March 19, 2010, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh. Born on July 29, 1923 in Lewistown, Montana, to Walter and Clara (Heinsohn) Weston, Clayt moved with his family to Glenwood City, Wisconsin. In March of 1943, Clayt served his country with the U. S. Air Force, before his discharge in March of 1946. He later attended and graduated from UW-Madison Medical School in 1951.
Clayton married Evelyn Lee in Menomonie, Wisconsin, on June 20, 1950. From Clayt's residency in Duluth, Minnesota, they moved to New Lisbon, Wisconsin in1952, where he started what became a 31 year family medical practice, retiring in 1983. Along the way, Clayt and Evy raised five children. Clayt enjoyed all sports, hunting, fishing, biking, walking, reading, traveling with Evy, socializing, and telling a good joke.
Left to mourn Clayt's passing is his beloved wife of over 59 years, Evy; two sons, Robert (Chris) Weston of Oshkosh and Tom (Danelle) Weston of Viroqua, Wisconsin; three daughters, Susan Weston of Roswell, New Mexico, Jane (Craig) Wahl of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, and Carol (Gary) Kringle of Menasha, Wisconsin; and seven grandchildren, Tom White, Cal Wahl, Carly Wahl, Andrea Weston, Jillian Weston, Clayton Weston, and Matthew Weston.
A family graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie, Wisconsin, later this spring.
