Clifford Charles Hart, age 84, of Oshkosh, formerly of Winneconne, passed away Thursday evening, March 3, 2005 at the Omro Care Center, after having been there only 8 days. He was born in the Town of Poygan, December 1, 1920, the son of Charles and Eula Place Hart. He attended Hill School in Poygan. He married Marjorie Marion Grant in Oshkosh on December 14, 1938. Clifford farmed for his dad until 1952, and then moved to Reighmoor and worked for the Wisconsin Axle Division for 5 ½ years, when he was laid off. He then went to Pluswood Industries and had worked 29 ½ years there when he retired in April 1986.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling, when he and a neighbor were the only two with machines. Since retiring, he went for his cups of coffee somewhere every morning, usually to Parkside in Winneconne.
Clifford is survived by his wife Marjorie of Oshkosh; two sons, Cliff, Jr. and Robert Hart both of Oshkosh; two sisters, Eleanor (Albert) Hess of Omro, and June (Jim) Thorson of Wild Rose; his grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and one brother, Claire, three brothers in law and two sisters in law.
His wish was to have no visitation or funeral. He will be cremated and buried in Waukau Cemetery on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. A memorial has been established.
