Obituary

Cordelia Cumber, born Cordelia Deaubl in Athens , Wisconsin on June 26, 1922 to Joseph and Susan (Welbes) Deaubl, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2009.

While employed as a welder at Leatham Smith Shipyard in Sturgeon Bay, Cordelia met and married Harold J. Cumber. Together they raised 11 children. Cordelia was generous and kind woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a trusted friend to many and will be dearly missed by all. Her warm smile will be forever embedded in our hearts.

Cordelia is survived by her sister Fredonia Kropp of Wausau; ten children, Barbara (James) Rice of Aniwa, Wayne of Schofield, Daryl (Sharon) of California, Alan (Donna) of Florence, Steven (Pat) of Oshkosh, Gary (Carol) of Appleton, Patricia (Jay Robinson) of Oshkosh, Lora Bartlett of Oshkosh, Rebecca (Peter) Garcia of California, Kevin (Linda) of Oshkosh; 25 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold of many years, her first child Sylvia, her mother and father, five brothers, one granddaughter and one great-grandchild.

Memorial service for Cordelia will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Father Jason Blahnik officiating. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
